AJ is an award-winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist artist (10 instruments!) who doesn't just cross multiple genres - but nails them. And while many artists just sing their songs on stage, this guy knows you came to be entertained. His unique pop sound is an effectively orchestrated blend of acoustic and electronic instruments: both raw and refined, featuring beautifully patient builds, mesmerizingly unforgettable melodies, and emotionally compelling lyrics. Smith's live shows are impactful as they will have you singing along even if you've never heard one of his songs before.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
A Fantastic Show! Versatility is the name of the game for Smith when it comes to performances. During the show he switched from keyboard to acoustic guitar to violin, depending on the song. His songs ran tthe gamut from hard to soft, fast to slow, soft to loud.

...Smith has a set of pipes that will rattle the framework. He also has a nice fingerstyle at work on his guitar, which he showed off solo for the first half of his opening cut before the band sped on to build the sound. The crowd trends young and is quite appreciative and enthusiastic and I see nothing to fault there. Again with a positive personality, good songs, exceptional skills, this is the formula for a fine night out in the clubs.

WOW, saw the show at Webster Hall with a friend, bought the CD and listened to it all weekend. Several friends heard it and said, who is that? Amazing new talent. The tunes are stuck in my head!
