Meet Carl Wockner; aka, “the man with the big hair and Golden Tonsils"! His “live looping” style, signature vocals and unique acoustic guitar work renders Carl in a league of his own. The live shows have been recognized throughout Australia and USA with multiple headliner performances at festivals and touring. They say hearing his voice is like being punched hard in the belly then immediately massaged back to a point that you actually feel better than you did before you were punched. They say that he actually uses a full sized guitar but it looks so small because he plays it into submission. They say he was born with a full head of dreadlocks, and that no matter what color glasses he wears, they will always turn red before he leaves the house in some kind of fiery magic. They say he can eat lasagna like its going out of fashion, but he believes it never will.
Carl's Live Looping Acoustic style show can be adjusted to suit chilled, intimate, or up-beat environments of any size from 10 - 10,000 and his client list is scattered across the globe.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
I have to say that Carl is a unique artist as he appeals to the entire room regardless of age or interest. In our venue alone we have regular groups that follow Carl who range from 18 - 70+ years of age. O n multiple occasions he has performed to a full house. I believe his talent knows no boundaries, not to mention Carl is a pleasure to deal with personally and professionally.
The Yacht Club Mooloolaba
Carl was outstanding. He was a pro about communication before the event, asking about song requests - and he was flexible when I requested a time change. Our group loved his show - he's really talented and played to the crowd. He took requests and let a guest sing a song. I highly, highly recommend Carl Wockner.
WOW, saw the show at Webster Hall with a friend, bought the CD and listened to it all weekend. Several friends heard it and said, who is that? Amazing new talent. The tunes are stuck in my head!
