If you want to bring some sweet harmonies, a unique sound and multi-instrumentalists to campus, then say hello to Pretty Gritty - a female/male, high-energy, acoustic-Americana duo!  They are multi-instrumentalists who can pull off a big sound, comparable to a full band, but are best known for their beautifully blending vocal harmonies. Their performance is intricate, extremely tight, and never fails to command any audience at any venue.  They've won awards, opened for some big names and have performed at well-know venues around the country.  It’s said that she (Sarah) brings the “pretty” while he (Blaine) brings the “gritty.”  Together, they combine an engaging alt-country duo with seducing harmonies and addicting acoustics.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

When you’re listening to the sweet serenades of the Portland transplant band Pretty Gritty, the bare essentials are what really matter. I’ve been watching the Portland music scene for over five years and have yet to hear another band within the Americana genre that has developed a sound as unique as PG’s.

Terrific show, best-of-show at Florence, OR, festival, special to have them back for a second year. Beautiful music, even better when you can see the interactions between these two on stage.
