Meet The Keymakers - the duo musical project from brothers Jerome and Justin Barnes. Close from an early age, somehow the two worked on music completely independently until forming The Keymakers less than two years ago. Since then, they've used their diverse influences to develop a dynamic sound, and have amassed a following through success on streaming services such a Spotify, where they've hit over 1 million plays.
The dynamic nature that drives their music also influences how they perform. Justin used to DJ college parties and shows - Jerome used to play saxophone in a jazz band and sing R&B - and both of those histories are evident in their live performance. Through incorporating DJing/Mixing, Live Instrumentation, Sampling, Drumming, and Vocals, they do everything they can to make sure the audience is having a good time.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
The Keymakers is a project that makes what may ultimately be considered important statements with genre-bending production that challenges the music to evolve.

- TWT Music
"The Keymakers make it all look as fun as music is supposed to be and damn do they sound good doing it.

- Sleeping Bag Studios
The pressure of living up to expectations, of delivering a consistent song that can appeal upon the first listen is something that is always rather unreasonably asked of up-and-coming artists. The Keymakers have delivered each and every time.
